Litgrid: Klinkmann delivers an Intelligent Power Grid Management to Litgrid
Klinkmann will deliver a data collection and analytics solution for Lithuania’s transmission grid to Litgrid. Litgrid is responsible for approximately 7,000 kilometers of electricity transmission network and plays a key role in integrating the Baltic power system into the Continental European grid.
The delivery will be carried out in collaboration with the Norwegian company NodeIT. The partnership combines international technology, Nordic data expertise, and strong local automation know-how.
At the core of the solution is the AVEVA software platform, which enables efficient collection, visualization, and analysis of operational power grid data. With this, Litgrid gains faster access to high-quality data, improves network utilization, and enhances the efficiency of power transmission operations. The solution also provides a foundation for future AI-based functionalities.
The Finnish company Klinkmann has been operating in the Baltic electricity markets for over 30 years and celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
The collaboration creates a scalable foundation for the digitalization of critical power infrastructure in Lithuania.
Supporting the Future of Smart Grid Operations
The Litgrid data collection and analytics project provides a modern platform for collecting, visualizing, and analyzing transmission grid data across Lithuania’s electricity network. By combining AVEVA’s industrial software capabilities with advanced data integration and analytics expertise from Klinkmann and NodeIT, the solution improves operational visibility, supports more efficient grid management, and establishes a foundation for future AI-enabled power system applications. As transmission system operators face increasing requirements for reliability, flexibility, and data-driven decision-making, modern grid analytics platforms play an essential role in enabling the digital transformation of energy infrastructure.
