Unitronics UniStream in Remote Boiler House Automation – SILTUMS Projects

Automation at SILTUMS boiler house in Priedaines region, Latvia, is handled by Unitronics UniStream all-in-one controllers, enabling remote operation via remote connections, live local and remote video surveillance, and integrated fire and security systems. The controller can display live video feeds and audio from IP cameras, streamlining monitoring and ensuring safety.

The Siltums boiler houses are equipped with a modern 1.5 MW wood chip heating system, manufactured by AGB Serviss, expert in boiler house solutions.

According to Aivars Bundzens, Chairman of the Board, the project’s success came despite tight deadlines and tight investment budget.

- We turned an empty clay pit into a fully operational, modern boiler houses that now supplies central heating to the residents of Priedaines region, Bundzens explains.

AGB Serviss initially sought an universal more complex automation solution but found Unitronics far exceeded expectations. The flexibility and scalability of UniStream controllers allowed them to expand usage across their entire product range. Plans are now underway to upgrade to UniStream 10” models with advanced communication features.
